Did you notice my new link on the side bar about the R-word. I never really thought much about this in my life and honestly i used the word all the time, but i'm pledging to stop. Could you honestly look this sweet little face and call her any other r-word but Rozie.

I absolutely agree with you! I used to use that word flippantly in the past. But now I have a child that is behind in speech..he has Apraxia and some sensory processing problems and I cringe at that word. He looks and acts most like a "normal" 2 yr old, but can't voice what he wants. It kills me sometimes, but has definitely made me aware of compassion toward others. And the struggles as a parent that you go through to make your child's world the best if can be.

Hi! I'm the anon who keeps commenting lately :) As an educator and future school administrator I am very aware of the word. Our generation uses the word too often. I make an effort to remember the correct use and to encourage others not to use it. I am happy to see your link! BTW...Rozie is a real cutie And that is the only R word I see! She is so lucky to have you as her ema.
